Designer turned builder, building AI-native products from concept to launch
About
A decade at the center of how people shop, connect, and get help, from Nordstrom's storytelling to Meta's messaging to Amazon's customer service. Now building Resolv, an AI app for couples I designed and shipped solo. I work at the intersection of product thinking and craft. In an age where anyone can generate an interface, taste is what I bring.
Currently based in San Francisco.
How I build
The tools changed, and so did the pace. AI collapsed the distance between idea and artifact. What used to live in a brief now gets stress-tested in an afternoon, and that matters because building the wrong thing has always been expensive. Getting something real in front of a person before the thinking has fully hardened means the feedback shapes the work rather than validates it.
Define & Build
Every build starts with a conversation. I talk through the concept out loud, using AI to push back, ask the questions I haven't thought to ask yet, and surface the edges of the idea before a single line of code exists. That pressure-testing used to live in meetings and decks. Now it happens in minutes. Once the idea has held up to scrutiny, I take it straight to prototype, building something that looks and feels real without the overhead that used to make early experimentation expensive. And once something real exists, it's time to test & analyze.
Test & analyze
Once the prototype is in front of real people, it becomes a lens. I watch where they slow down, get confused, or quietly stop. Real users surface things no amount of planning could predict: a hesitation, a pattern, a moment of friction that only shows up when something is actually in someone's hands. That data doesn't tell you what to build next, but it tells you exactly where to look. And when the signal is clear, it goes straight back into define and build..
Work
Helping couples communicate and fight better
Building a help system that actually helps
Surfacing product badges, like "Best Seller" and "Highly Rated", that help shoppers identify the best item when faced with a large search results page
Editorial storytelling translated for Nordstrom's digital platforms
